1 week after starting my second job in 2 months, as Sime Darby oil mill engineer. Currently in training program for 9 months. Still not permanent employed yet, everything depend on the performance during these 9 months.

Sometime just wondering if the path that I had chosen today is worth it. No doubting that working in Sime Darby Plantation will be rewarding, but my social life will be practically zero. Miss those time where we can just hanging around with our buddies during study times and making fun of each other.

Will be reading back this post in the futures to see if I made the right choice or not. The uncertainties is making me feeling unsecure, but I do hope that I can make it.

P.S: On a side note, October had been a great month for me in EPL fantasy. My record points for the last 3 years I had been playing it. :) Hope can maintain!!

Manchester United was in Malaysia in last weekend as part of their pre-season preparation. So me, a die hard United fans, was there in Bukit Jalil stadium together with Ping Hun for the training session on Friday and the match on Saturday against Malaysia XI.

Final score: MU won 3-2. Rooney, Nani and Owen (debut goal, yayz) score for the Red Devil, while Amri Yahyah score twice for Malaysia. My eye like wana pop out when Amri score the first goal for Malaysia, lobbing van der Sar from outside of the penalty box. Not bad from a Malaysian. Maybe he will be transfer to Manchester City after the goals. LOL.

Fully satisfied watching the game, my first time watching live football in a stadium and MU playing in flesh. Not complaning eventhough got sunburn cos waiting in the stadium since 3pm in order to get a good seat.

To round it off, just for a laugh...

Hong Kong Trip Day 6 + Day 7 (End)

Last day of Hong Kong trip, so it is free and easy mode. We split up to 2 groups: me + Ooh Yeah ; Jeff + Sifu. Me and Ooh Yeah just go shopping and try out Hong Kong food. Ooh Yeah bought 2 pair of Adidas shoes. I was tempted to buy too, but my current shoe still in good condition....

After that go try Hong Kong food!! Yayz..eat time...

Eat back the manggo dessert that we tried in first day in Hong Kong...

After dessert, we go try out the famous roast goose in Yung Kee Restaurant. It is located in Wellington Street. Its a 5 star restaurant, so it is quite expensive. But the roast goose is superb. It is not oily at all, and the skin is crunchy. Totally worth it!!

Hong Kong Trip Day 5

Long time never update on the Hong Kong trip, because too busy. :) So here it goes then.

Congee is a must have in Hong Kong, so we tried it out in Ocean Empire Restaurant, located in Mongkok. For me just normal, cause I am not a great fan of congee.

After breakfast, we went to the famed Gold Fish Market. The whole street basically sell gold fish only. Now I know that sell gold fish can make profit too.

After getting tired of gold fish, we went to visit the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. The square was named after the giant statue of Golden Bauhimia, where the ceremonies for the handover of Hong Kong to China took place in 1997. Snaped some pictures.

We finally had the chance to try out the Hong Kong famous Dim Sum. We tried it out in Lin Heung Restaurant, recommended by the Lowyat forumers. Lin Heung is located in Wellington Street. The Dim Sum is nice, totally different from Malaysia style. Must try.

My 5 years in UTP

Finally got my SV approval to hardbound my dissertation. It means that my university life is coming to the end. WEEEeeeeeeeee....... Now just hope that I dun screwed up my final exam, and can safely grad. Finger crossed!

During this 5 years time, I believe that I had change a lot. Physically and mentally. Its too bad that physically I had grown horizontally and not vertically. Sigh~

Brain wise, I think that my brain is well cooked compared to last time. ‘以前的我好傻，好天真’ can be used to describe me. Keke. The July 04 intake really have all kind of peoples: hamsap, emo, kiam sap, kia si, kia su, kind, complicated.... whatever it is, you name it, you got it here in July04. lol. 5 years in UTP, all kind of peoples have come in and out of my life. Some make my life colorful, some make my days in UTP look like hell. Luckily, I had managed to make some really good friends here, they help me a lot in my life in UTP, without them life in UTP will be dull. Thanks guys.

End of football Season

With the conclusion of yesterday Champions League Final, Manchester United season end as well. It had been a great season, even though we lost yesterday UCL final. MU was beaten by a better team, no complain from me. Just a bit disappointed by the manner we lost it. There was no urgency from the players yesterday. The reaction expected from MU didn't happen. Maybe fatigue played a part, or MU was simply no match to the craft of Iniesta and Xavi.

While MU was known of their flair and their attacking prowess, this season had been more on the 'ugly' side of MU. Great defending and determination basically sum up this season for MU. Winning games with scoreline of 1-0, who can expected it came from MU. Still, this season is special, winning the League Cup, World Clubs Cup and the English Premier League.

Now i just hope that SAF can keep the squad together. Tevez look likely to go, but i hope not to Liverpool. Part of me want him to stay. I hope MU will buy Ribery, and sell Nani. : )

I know MU will come back stronger next season. Football season end liao, need to find new stuff to keep me occupied. Lets start with trip to Genting! : )

P.S: For my next season jersey, the NN will be Scholes and number 18. Gonna broke again. :(

Fantasy Battle Round 10

It was a good weekend for me in term of football related, with MU winning the English Premier League for the third consecutive years. By winning this year EPL, Liverpool fans cant brag about being the most successful club in England. Both clubs have won the trophy 18th times. Yayz.... beware Liverpool, we are closing in on the European trophy as well...

Another thing to cheer on is Nemanja Vidic won the Manchester United Player of the Year award. I have been impressed by his performance all year long, rock solid in the middle of defence for MU. Money well spent printing his name on my jersey.

Okay, to the serious post pulak, news about the Pulau Ketam residents dumping the stray dogs to nearby island have been circulating around. Why good management is important for a football club~

" The city of Valencia and its most popular football club, Valencia CF, can probably tell the story of Spain's recent monetary rise and subsequent financial collapse better than any other Spanish region or team.

Once a provincial capital with very few tourist attractions (the authentic paella, no less, and the San Juan feast with plenty of firecrackers and noise), Valencia made the most of the economic bonanza Spain went through between the late nineties and 2008. Its infrastructure was vastly improved (roads, trains, airport), and the city changed its face with the addition of several marquee locations (the amazing Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias or the L'assut de l'or Bridge are must-sees), most of them designed by local architecture genius Santiago Calatrava.

Valencia CF was already a team of large tradition in Spain, but their titles were precious few, most of them won back in the forties and fifties, with President Luis Casanova at the helm. With both the country and the city blooming, the football team refused to be left behind. In 1999, Claudio Ranieri led the club to win the Copa del Rey, their first silverware in twenty years, which started an amazing spell in which Valencia also won two Ligas (2002 and 2004), one UEFA Cup (2004), and got to the Champions League final in 2000 and 2001.

If you are not familiar with the demanding Valencia fans, you would think no supporter would ever complain during such a successful phase. You'd be wrong, as things were never easy for the gaffers in Valencia, even when the victories were piling up. Their supporters always want to win in style.

When you take into consideration that Claudio Ranieri, Hector Cúper and Rafael Benítez were prominently involved with the club in that spell, you can imagine that the fans' thirst for top class entertainment wasn't really satiated. Valencia became a top tier club through a very physical approach, based on an inexpugnable defence and a tireless midfield that scored more often than the strikers, with the exception of Claudio López.

Like their approach or not, the fact is that, by 2004, Valencia CF were serious contenders in every competition, and appeared to have conquered the unofficial title of "Third Spanish Club" in its own right. And then a certain Juan Bautista Soler became President.

Mr. Soler's negative impact on the club is beyond belief. He broke each and every sensible rule to running a club, starting with the lack of stability for the executives (an endless parade of sporting and medical directors, director generals, and coaches have worked for the club in the last five years), followed by amounting a huge level of debt (over €400m, not surprising when you continuously hire and fire all those executives and players) and obviously finishing with the chaotic management of the footballing aspects, the Ronald Koeman fiasco being the cherry on the cake.

In pure Spanish fashion, the solution for all these troubles was real estate. Inspired by other clubs (Florentino Pérez had pulled a similar stunt for Real Madrid a few years back), Soler designed an operation to sell the current Mestalla stadium for a stunning profit, and then move the team to a new, more modern, cheaper home already under construction.

Soler, just like many others in Valencia and the rest of the country, did not see the real estate crisis coming. And once it came, he did not think it would last long.

Finally, he understood he had no way of selling the current stadium nor finishing the new one, and decided to quit. The following three presidents (Morera, Villalonga and Soriano) promised several measures but delivered none, and eventually the club stopped paying the players and most of its creditors.

At that point, during the last week of March, it seemed impossible for Valencia to get out of the hole without selling their best players, David Villa (with several proposals in England and Spain) and David Silva (linked to Italy's Juventus and also Liverpool). The team had gone six matches without a win, and the near future looked bleak, especially if they had to sell their best two players.

Then Bancaja, the regional savings bank and Valencia's largest creditor, decided to take over and appointed a new CEO, Javier Gómez, who gained management responsibilities over those of the current President, Soriano. Fortunately for Valencia, Gómez has done more in two weeks than the combined last four presidents have in two years. Last week the club obtained a €50m loan from a local company that will cover the players' salaries and the debt with the construction company that's building the new stadium. The club also announced a €92m capital increase to be done in June. "

Hope Valencia do not do a 'Leeds United' version. If not i got no team to support over in Spain!!!

Its a disappointing round for Ruud United, as they were totally crushed by Ooh Yeah. Players from Man Utd only managed to provide a lowly 4 points for Ruud United, which include Dimitar Berbatov, C.Ronaldo and Patrice Evra.

On the other hand, Ooh Yeah was boosted by good performance from the other big clubs, namely Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Andrei Arshavin, Frank Lampard, Cesc Fabregas and surprisingly Abdulaye Faye from Stoke City contributed a whopping 44 points, more than the entire Ruud United squad.

The routine is becoming familiar.

Manchester United aren't winning. Liverpool are, as it stands, top of the league. A goal is required. Sir Alex Ferguson has turned to an utterly untried striker. And he has delivered: once with his last touch, once with his first. Both have transformed one point into three. Both have thwarted Rafael Benitez and Liverpool as much as the side who have had to retrieve the ball from their net.

Federico "Kiko" Macheda has done it again. Once was remarkable enough. Twice verges on the incredible.

Aston Villa could count themselves unfortunate to be defeated by a glorious goal. Sunderland were still unluckier, beaten by a strike that contained an element of fortune. Some 46 seconds after his introduction, Macheda positioned himself in the penalty area when Michael Carrick took aim. The ball ended up, via Macheda, in the Sunderland net. The deflection may have contained more luck than judgment, but the result was the same.

"What he knows about it is immaterial," said an admirably phlegmatic Ricky Sbragia. "Everything he touches seems to turn to gold." He was almost right: everything he touches seems to turn to goals.

"He has got something special about him, the boy," said Ferguson. "He is quick thinking. Goalscorers have that. He's got the instinct. He isn't fazed by anything, I have had a chat with his family this week and he will be ok. He will keep his feet on the ground."

That might not be easy. Players can go through an entire career without enjoying a week like Macheda's. Whereas Carlos Tevez had chugged around energetically and Dimitar Berbatov strolled around languidly without either suggesting they would score, Macheda managed it in a matter of seconds. It is now four points that can be attributed solely to the substitute. It is the difference between first and third place. It is scarcely credible.

When Cristiano Ronaldo had been left among the replacements, it appeared he was Ferguson's insurance policy. Events proved Macheda was. If his manager is grateful to the 17-year-old Italian, his team-mates ought to be. For the second successive match, their failings have been obscured by his finishing.

Defensively, once again, United were fragile. There were reasons to rest, or omit, the out-of-form Patrice Evra. Nevertheless, Wednesday's Champions League tie at Porto appeared to have been prioritised with the left-back, alongside Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Edwin van der Sar on the bench. It meant Ben Foster was given his first Premier League start of the season and the goalkeeper appeared fallible when failing to claim Teemu Tainio's cross, allowing Kenwyne Jones to equalise at the second attempt.

Nor was it a lone threat. Sunderland may have sensed that their best hope of a result lay, despite a meagre tally of two goals in their six previous games, in attack, and they committed men forward. "All we did today was to try and get the ball into the box as often as possible," said Sbragia. It was a policy that could have brought a reward. Indeed Nemanja Vidic, with a misplaced back-pass, and Jonny Evans, when he touched on Carlos Edwards' cross, both came close to scoring an own goal.

United had begun with purpose. Wayne Rooney had been exiled to the left flank by Ferguson as Dimitar Berbatov returned to partner Carlos Tevez, but he did not interpret it as a slight. Instead, Rooney delivered a terrific display, attempting a shot within 20 seconds and creating a goal within 20 minutes when Paul Scholes headed in his cross.

For much of the season, 1-0 appeared enough for United. Now their games are altogether more unpredictable. But, for the second time in a week, the twist in the tale involved a previously unknown Italian boy. Logically it can't continue, but then logic appeared to have left the title race long before Manchester United's teenage substitute joined it.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Wayne Rooney - Few United players have retained their form in recent weeks. Rooney, however, seems to have improved his. Until Macheda's arrival, he was instrumental in everything United did, tracking back with trademark vigour and serving as creator and, almost, scorer from the left flank.

SUNDERLAND VERDICT: An injury-hit side produced a display of real spirit. The shame for them is that past failings have put them in danger of relegation. "I just question why we didn't get the same performance in the West Ham game," Sbragia said. "We've set ourselves a good standard." There were fine performances across his side, from the overlapping Phil Bardsley to Jones, who ended something of a goal drought, but results are required. Their next match - Hull at home - is huge.

MANCHESTER UNITED VERDICT: They can derive comfort from another victory and the knowledge that three key men - van der Sar, Evra and Giggs - should be rested for the reunion with Porto. Nevertheless, it is hard to name their strongest side at the moment. With each game he misses, Rio Ferdinand's reputation grows higher.

NAUGHTY NEVILLE: With Ronaldo on the bench, his mantle as talisman appeared to have been passed to Rooney. Another of his habits, however, appeared to have been borrowed by his captain. Gary Neville has been called many things in his time, but rarely a diver. This was a rare occasion when he was cautioned for simulation.

Visited Ngong Ping in Lantau Island, which is famous for the largest Buddha Statue in Hong Kong. Boarded MTR from Mongkok to Tung Chong and cable car from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping. Snaps some interesting pictures while on the way to Ngong Ping.

What a week! Probably the most malang week of year 2009.

First, MU 1-4 Liverpool. In Old Trafford. Enough said.

Then, Plant Design Project presentation. 30% of my 100% coursework mark gone. I still cant believe how we screwed the presentation after how well we did last semester.

If not suei enough, play futsal injured my ass. Pain for 2 days. Then play PES fail to defend my league title.....All the hard work...

OK lo, wana do my Operation Management project, take 1 hour plus journey to Lumut Power Plant, go there stare cock cos my lovely leader fetch us to the wrong power plant. Have to go again this Wednesday. 1 whole day gone.

Hong Kong Trip Day 3

Today was all about Ocean Park. The Ocean Park entrance fee is HKD195. On the way there, bought a BBQ pork bread (HKD6.5) from Maxim Cakehouse for lunch. The bun was delicious, will try again if got chance go Hong Kong again. Hehe. Long live pork!!! :p

The first place we visited in Ocean Park is to tour around the Bird Park. Got thousand of birds there, so the place damn smelly. haha. Have to jaga our own head so that no birds shit on our head....

After the bird tour, we tried all the games available in the theme park, until miss out on the dolphin show in Ocean Theater. Bad time management, all because of 'sunbathing' in the pirate boat. More pictures....

Start our day by having breakfast in one of the mee shop in Mongkok. I ordered meatball noodle soup, the taste for me normal oni lo... haha. Can eat can d la.....hoho.. Didnt shop in Stanley Market, as it is more expensive compare to goods in Mongkok. Lunch in Stanley is more expensive too, and the taste normal only.

Hong Kong Trip Day 1

Finally the day had arrived. Reach KLIA around 7am as our flight is scheduled at 0915am. The food provided by MAS suck... i just had a few bite of fried rice before decide not to torture my own stomach.

After 4 hour journey, we are safely in Hong Kong. Yayz.....Settled our immigration stuff and we are on the way to our hostel in Mongkok. Boarded bus A21 and reach Dragon Hostel in half an hour time. The room was nice, costing HKD2100 for 6 days, 5 nights, with 4 beds provided, just ngam-ngam for me, Lee Xiang, Chun Yan and Ming Kiat.

Our nest for the next 5 days in HK....

We settled in and then off we go to explore HK... The first thing that we tried is the famed mango dessert. We tried it out in Hui Lao Shan Restaurant. The mango taste was superb, completly different from the one that in Malaysia. 2 of the desserts that we tried, costing HKD21 per person:

We had our dinner in Temple Street. Try the '濑尿虾'....lol...very spicy and salty too...still feel Kuala Selangor seafood the best. haha. We try Hong Kong beer too, which according to the promoter, its one of the best beer in Hong Kong, price around HKD20...

which after that, we realized that the same beer is sold at a price of HKD6 for a can. MPK!!! CCB!! kena con by the lui!!!Damn!

We ended our first day by touring around the temple street and had supper in 7-11, using microwave like in TVB drama. keke.

Haven start our journey to Hong Kong yet, i just wana promote some of the nice food in my area (Kuala Selangor) . Located in Ijok, opposite of the Ijok bus station, Restaurant Ching Sun is one of my favorite place for dinner.

My 2 cent on EPLtill now

With the completion of last weekend EPL matches, the EPL season reached the half-way mark of the season. Here, my 2 cent on the MU and Arsenal season up till now. Lazy write Liverpool and Chelsea, maybe later la, see mood!hoho.

Arsenal
It had been a torturing time for Arsenal fans. Beat MU and Chelsea, drew wit Liverpool, lose to Stoke City and Hull City, only Arsenal can produce those type of performance, haha. Lack of leadership and experience contribute to their inconsistency. 8 points behind Liverpool, Gallas most likely to be sold in the January transfer window and Fabregas injured for the next 2-3 months, Arsenal hope of landing the EPL look unlikely. However, from Arsenal performance against Liverpool last weekend, I am impresed with the way they scrap and played even when they were down to 10 man. They still a title contender and it will be interesting to see who Wenger bring in the next transfer window, as some possible signings include Arshavin, Inler, and Tevez (lol...Really cant imagine to see Tevez in Arsenal jersey).

Manchester United
Performance wise, MU still struggling to play their best football till now. Their away form have been terrible, with just 3 wins out of 8 away games till now, although to be fair, most of their away matches involved teams that finished in the top 7 last season. With 2 games in hand, they can easily close the 7 point gap on Liverpool. So far, MU strike-force had been 'cold' till now, with their only big win had been the 5 goals trashing of Stoke City. Berbatov still yet to show the form during his time in Spurs, Rooney blowing hot and cold, Ronaldo mind seem to stuck in Madrid, and Tevez......(no comment on Tevez, see him play also wana cry ah)

As a MU fan, I know MU will be on form for the second half of the season.... With the Clubs World Cup in the bag now, lets aim for EPL, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and League Cup. Glory Glory Man United!!!

Went to PC Fair last weekend..Plan to get a new lappie for myself..very troublesome bring a desktop PC around...some more my sis sponsor...lol...

Reach KLCC around 11am, lucky go early, as after lunch time its getting crowded... After done some sniffing around, with a budget of RM3500+-, 3 lappies that impress me, which are: Dell XPS M1330, BenQ S42 and SONY VAIO VGN-CS16G. Finally decide to go for BenQ S42, as i feel the specs are better compared to the other two lappie.

BenQ S42 basic specs as below:

- Intel COre 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.4 Ghz, 3MB L2 Cache, 1066Mhz ESB)

Total amount i paid is RM3840. Dunno worth the money or not, as i kind of noob in this,haha... The reviews from some of the forums say it is a good laptop, for the price of RM3500. so hope i made a good choice here!
